Control of singularly perturbed hybrid stochastic systems
In this paper, we study a class of optimal stochastic control problems involving two different time scales. The fast mode of the system is represented by deterministic state equations whereas the slow mode of the system corresponds to a jump disturbance process. Under a fundamental “ergodicity” property for a class of “infinitesimal control systems” associated with the fast mode, we show that t...
متن کاملNear-optimal control of linear multiparameter singularly perturbed systems
In this note, the linear quadratic optimal control for multiparameter singularly perturbed systems is studied. The attention is focused on the design of a new near-optimal controller. The resulting controller achieves approximation of the optimal cost. The proposed algorithm has been numerically tested on a real physical example and produced useful results.
متن کاملH∞ control for fast sampling discrete-time singularly perturbed systems
This paper is concerned with the H∞ control problem via state feedback for fast sampling discrete-time singularly perturbed systems. A new H∞ controller design method is given in terms of solutions to linear matrix inequalities (LMIs), which eliminates the regularity restrictions attached to the Riccati-based solution. A method for evaluating the upper bound of singular perturbation parameter w...
متن کاملState-feedback H control of nonlinear singularly perturbed systems
We study the H control problem for an a$ne singularly perturbed system, which is nonlinear in the state variables. Under suitable assumptions on the linearized problem, we construct -independent composite and linear controllers that solve the local H control problem for the full-order system for all small enough . These controllers solve also the corresponding problem for the descriptor system....
متن کاملControl of Singularly Perturbed Systems under Actuator Saturation
This paper addresses the stabilization problem of singularly perturbed systems subject to actuator saturation. A solution in terms of linear matrix inequalities is proposed. The saturation is represented by means of a modified sector nonlinearity. The numerical problems due to the ill conditioning of the system model are avoided using a non-decoupling strategy. Some numerical results are also i...
